Forty-year-old slice of Charles and Diana's wedding cake sells for $2500

Someone paid $2500 this week for a hunk of stale wedding cake left over from the 1981 royal wedding of Prince Charles and Princess Diana.

Dominic Winter Auctioneers, which sold off the, er, collectible, states that there were apparently 23 official royal wedding cakes and this slab came from royal staff cake. — Read the rest
