Japanese mayor who bit gold medal says he will forfeit $13,000 of his salary to make amends

The mayor of Nagoya, Japan is sorry for biting softball pitcher Miu Goto's Olympic gold medal, and will forego $13,000 of his pay as a form of self-punishment.

According to Kyodo News, Kawamura was also accused of sexually harassing Goto, making remarks at the time such as: "Are you prohibited from having romantic relationships?"
