During World War II, a 56-year-old British noblewoman stood up to Nazi occupiers on the tiny island of Sark

In June 1940, German forces took the Channel Islands, a small British dependency off the coast of France. We'll also overtake an earthquake and puzzle over an inscrutable water pipe.
