Downtown Disney's WonderGround Gallery shutters, Galaxy's Edge merch fills space

WonderGround Gallery, the best place to shop in Anaheim's Downtown Disney (imo), has just closed its doors in favor of a Galaxy Edge's pop-up.

Trader Josh and Trader Dave of @EnchantedTikiBar write that the WonderGround space has been converted into a Star Wars Trading Post and that all of the artist-created merchandise has been replaced with Galaxy's Edge products.

Yesterday we posted some photos of WonderGround for seemingly no reason, but secretly there was. Visitors today will see that it is now selling Star Wars merchandise from Galaxy's Edge while the park is closed. While we're told that WonderGround isn't gone for good, it's certainly gone for now. We know many are upset but we can hope that this decision is only temporary, as many artists rely on WonderGround for exposure and sales. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge merchandise will be available in the Disney owned and operated WonderGround Gallery for the foreseeable future, according to Disney officials. The WonderGround Gallery will return to Downtown Disney at a later date.

Disney once boasted that the merchandise sold in Galaxy's Edge would be exclusively available in the Star Wars land. But COVID-19 has changed everything…
