Brandon Bernard executed despite 5 jurors' objections, he becomes 9th U.S. federal execution of 2020

On Thursday night, the government of the United States carried out the ninth federal execution of 2020, the first during a presidential lame-duck period in 130 years.

Federal prisoner Brandon Bernard was executed tonight in Terre Haute, Indiana.
