DEAD: Sheldon Adelson, Sands casino mogul and Trump financial backer

Casino mogul and GOP megadonor Sheldon Adelson has died at age 87.

He was one of Donald Trump's biggest financial backers.

Sheldon Adelson was owner of Yisrael Hayom newspaper, CEO of Las Vegas Sands, and a former close friend of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, reports the Jerusalem Post in its obituary:

Sheldon Adelson, CEO and chairman of Las Vegas Sands, the largest casino company in the United States, passed away Tuesday at his home in Las Vegas.
