Installation artist Gabriel Dawe is known for vibrant works that create rainbows using thread. He sat down with the Smithsonian to discuss his work.

Plexus C6, 2012, was my first home private commission. Have you noticed we're still going through 2012 in the Plexus series? There are still a couple more installations from that year coming in this #instaretrospective. 2012 remains to be my busiest year to date. 15 installations! I realized that if I continued with that pace I was going to end up burning out, so I started being more selective with the projects I did. #gabrieldawe #10yearsofplexus
