Work resumes on San Francisco's tilting Millennium Tower as more doubts are raised

Work has resumed at San Francisco's Millennium Tower. The latest test pile drilling apparently was "successful." The test pile's drilling only increased the building's tilt the maximum amount allowed. A passing grade is, after all, a passing grade.

A prior structural engineer hired by the concerned condo owners to perform an earlier assessment of the tilting tower thinks the entire repair is doomed, as his inspection showed the foundation is too damaged for the new piles to support. — Read the rest
